Photo A Day 2016 1st - 10th January

SO this year I have decided to take a photo a day, ok this isn't really a challenge for me I always have my phone to hand. Some days may be more challenging when I am working nights or long days but lets see. I tried this back in 2013 but only made it to April. So here is the first offerings of the year.

January 1st

We went into London to experience the New Year Day Parade, something I had never heard off before. Was good fun and the kids loved it, although we were standing in the wring place was good to experience it. It did involve me saying to someone What is your problem? As they rammed there bag into my back as I wandered to find Ami a toilet. Do not know what she thought pushing me with her bag would achieve in a queue. Poor Ami was getting crushed under the force of the lady. They loved going on the trains and seeing all the goings on.

January 2nd - Date Night

Yes our first Date night of the year gifted to us by our lovely Friend Frances. A very thoughtful gift and a rare chance for us to enjoy each others company. My husband has to be one of the most funniest people I know he makes me laugh when we got out all the time.

January 3rd - Sibling love

Ami was overjoyed that Son Son had got some pants she said to him "If you wear your pants son son I will give you a sweet". It was so cute they then danced around in his new pants. He soon took them off and wanted a nappy.

January 4th - Haircut times

Son Son got an haircut, he does look so cute with it cut but I did love the long hair. Wont take long to grow back and he loved having it cut, he was a very good boy.

January 5th - Playdates with Mates

With the non stop rain we headed to Ami's friend house in which they enjoyed playing together. Its funny to see Ami play with her friends its so much different then at home, at home she bosses Son son around and he will do anything she wants, but friends aren't like little brothers. They enjoyed playing dress up and playing trains.

January 6th - More playdates with Mates

This this the three off them playing snowball fight!!! Son Son helped me tidy it away. It literally went everywhere.

January 7th - Back to Work

Back to work after 12 days of annual leave. Was very tiring but nice to be back at work and managing to get a break, eat some food in peace. I look tired not used to getting up at 5:45 its a killer.

January 8th - Husband Treats

My lovely husband slipped these in my bag for me because he knows how much I love them (well more fruitella but I wasnt complaining). I have cut chocolate for the new year and it was everywhere it was so good having something sweet to eat when feeling shattered at work.

January 9th - Not much inspiration

Didn't take many photos infact this was the only taker of the day. Not the best ever but my poor husband has a tooth infection and was in a lot of pain. The poor man three hospital visits endless pain killers he now looks like someone has punched him in the face.  Poor chap.

January 10th - A cheat

This photo wasnt from today sorry but the only photo was the toddlers dive bombing a soft toy monkey ( see my instagram feed for that one). I thought I would share a photo of my eldest so it doesnt look like I have missed him out. He is a cheeky chap he has brought heelys today so I expect some broken bone picture here in the next few weeks. My husband is still in a lot of pain today, I had to take the day of work to look after the kids whilst he slept after being awake all night. Me and the kids went shopping and to subway very exciting for them all. We also lost Son Sons dummy on the way home and had to put up with an hour of him crying for his dummy and for Daddy.

So this is us for the time being, I plan to post every Sunday depending on how much I remember. I hope to remember to take other pictures not just the toddlers. Although they are rather funny and growing up so quick.

Thanks for reading my ever so interesting week and a bit.

Saturday Snapshot - desperate measures

I secretly love a corridor shot, those that are late at night when it seems all scary are my favourite. When you work in a busy hospital it's those times when it's still and everywhere seems calm. You walk along the dark corridors that are empty and its almost as if you are somewhere else. This photo was not taken at night just at lunch time but some reason I like it.

I was a bit rubbish this week and didn't get my camera out much, this was an iPhone picture that I took walking back from the canteen. It's been spruced up with some filters to make it look a bit more exciting that just a corridor and sweets (oh wait that's just what it is). Next week I will try to be better and not worry about the bad weather. Sadly the irony of the photo is that I put them in my pocket and forgot about them.

My favourite posts of 2015

I wrote around 300 posts last year some random and some really important to me. Here is a collection of some of my personal faves and the reason why. It is funny because when you write them you do not know what kind of response you are going to get, will someone read it. Especially when it is close to heart. I enjoyed writing more funny posts last year and plan to expand this year, I have a very dry sense of humour people do not always find me funny ( well not as much as I find my self that is).

I wrote this post after observing some of the Mums at my sons school. It was quite funny to see the way they stood in little packs. Obviusly this is an exaggeration (just in case someone is reading and they want to duff me up in the car park).

This post remains to this day my most read post. I ended up doing a little series it seems everyone else shares the hatred for soft play. Well I do not hate it so much the kids let me sit down for about 2 minutes to gulp down my tea.

I love taking our family photo each month, sadly the rest of the fan take some persuading each month. Here is a collection of all of our years photos. Its wonderful to look back on and see how much the little ones have grown up.

This was seriously the best holiday perfect mix of sun and food. Would love to go back this summer the kids absolutely loved it and so did us adults. Ami still talks about it to this day. Looking back it seems so long ago. Time to plan a new holiday me thinks.

A personal post about my eldest boy, I remember putting him to bed and thinking when did I last give him a cuddle. Its funny I could say the same now, obviously now I he thinks I carry some kind of mum virus and won't let me cuddle him but one day when he is off guard.

Me writing about becoming a young mum, a very personal vulnerable post. Ive been a mum for nearly ten years its been a fun ride at times but one I know no adult life different.

I for one love these kind of posts maybe because when I am older it will remind me of the times with my little children. Days out and adventures is my most favourite things to write about. I love taking pictures of the kids and sharing them on t

Just a buzz feed type post but thought I would end there maybe because you may as well look through my posts and read them.  It can be a hard read at times my grammar is somewhat improving but still sentence structures don't always make sense blame my dyslexic brain for that one. I am after nearly three years of blogging not ending the sentences with an!

Winter Beach Walks - Gorleston Beach

Every Winter when we head up to my husbands parents we usually head to Southward for a day trip out. Something to blow the cob webs and break that indent from the sofa where we have eaten too much and can not be bothered to move. This year we broke the trend and headed somewhere different. It was a lovely sunny day but it had a brisk chilly wind. We walked along the prom and the kids wanted to see the big waves.

All the family came along there was 21 in total which when you stop anywhere for a bite to eat they instantly freeze. We went to one place where it took over an hour to get a drink it was crazy then they ran out of plates, which was funny because we were the only ones in there.

Even though it was freezing the kids loved it, hanging out with their cousins and just being outside. All the boys had a big game of football which made Asti's day. It looked a lovely beach for the summer maybe will have to venture back sometime. Although we are spoilt where we live for beaches anyway.

Even though it was cold and windy the kids did love it and it got them out. Its crazy how little exercise we did over the Christmas Break. I suppose everyone is a bit like that also the weather has been pants hardly makes you motivated to get out. Made a nice change to go somewhere different other than Southwold.

Heres some more photos we took that day, nice to see the sunshine for a bit too.

Teletubbies Toy Delivery

I remember as a child or maybe even a teenager me and my sister being excited about a new program on the tv. A funny program with these colourful characters (hey not that kind of colourful). We were actually rather sad and loved it a little to much as older girls. Then when my first son was born it was still on the tv and he used to love it too. So with that I was excited to see it back on the screen.

On Christmas Eve I returned home to a massive box with the teletubbies on the side, it took all I had not to open it but it being the day before Christmas I held back. I hid it in the conservatory. ]t. I have found it a little ripped I expect my eldest has wanted to look inside as if it was the toddlers they would have been opened long ago. We aren't to open the box until the 11th then we can share what is in the box.

So mack sure you come back on the 11th when I can share what is inside!!!

I am well excited its like Christmas all over again...

So for now the box has to go tubby bye bye ( sorry bad joke)

The new year is upon us - Dreams

Ok I may be a little late into the new year ( three days to be precise) it is only the 3rd of January but better late than never. You may have been dipping in and out of this random blog wondering what is going on, why doesnt she post much anymore. Sorry about that took a months break and it kind of went into a few months break. I am not going to lie I did enjoy it, was nice not being on my laptop in the evening. Reading blog posts sharing etc.

I am back now.

2016 this little blog is going to be a little different. I love capturing events in our lives I won't stop doing that but I plan to be more regular with the stuff I write so it isn't more random. Although I am the queen of Random so we will see. I want to do more videos but not sure I have the patience we will see in the year.

We had a really good year last year, what with Holidays to France and Spring Harvest. Many weeks volunteering at different events but I look forward to this year. There is something about a new year. Bringing a fresh hope and perspective in life. We hope this is the year that somebody picks up my husbands script or something happens for him career wise. We feel its been on the cusp for a few years now.

This is also the year we will get a good school report, that we don't dread school parents evenings. My eldest is very bright but doesnt always know when to be quiet often getting him into trouble. He is always the first to be caught and forever gaining attention somehow hopefully this year it will be more positive.

For the other two just year of good health, that we finally get Son Sons chest sorted out. He has a constant rasp when breathing. The doctors say there is nothing wrong but that boy can snore. Its doesnt harm him or affect his health in anyway but would be good to see it sorted.

Ami she starts school in September, which is a little scary!! Seems like only yesterday she was born. She is an August birthday so will be the youngest in the year but I do not think this will phase her one but. She is very independent and head strong. In  fact all three of my children are extremely head strong something I do not know where that came from.

Last of all there is my dreams for the year. I have been exploring (in my head) what moving would look like. Where abouts I do not know but I grew up where I live, I have  never been anywhere else. I do not know maybe I do feel a little bored at times, so maybe it is time for a change. It would be a hard decision especially when you are part of a strong community. I also plan to develop in my photography too. Oh and finally learn to drive!!

So that is it for now.

A small insight into our dreams for this year and the dreams for the kids.

Heres to 2016

Snapshot Saturday - beach babe

One of my new year resolutions was to improve at photography, not just take pictures but actually know what I am doing. I love capturing photos, I love looking at them even more. I may even take photos of things that aren't just my children, we will see over the space of the year where I head.

This photo was taken on the Canon 60d with a 30mm prime lens. That is so far all I know ( I may even have got the wrong lens but to be honest I can not be bothered to leave the warm sofa to check).

We will join in with Snapshot Saturday you can too by clicking the little photo below too.
