Tinsy Winsy Weeny Tots Review

My little two love babies its the one game they play everyday without fail. They love anything baby so when we were asked to review the Tinsy Winsy Weeny Tots I knew it would be something they would fall in love with them. All the dolls we have are a lot bigger so I wondered how they would find miniature babies. When they opened the packet Ami was overjoyed and couldn't wait to start playing with them. She asked if these babies were as small as the ones at my work (I am a special care nurse).

We were sent a pram set and two individual dolls. The babies are so realistic with little hands and toes. They are so small that they fit in your hands and perfect for carrying around in your pocket.  There are 15 babies to collect in the first series and all come with a name tag and date of birth. One thing I loved about the babies is that they smelled like babies. All the babies smelt different too making them all unique. The individual babies come in a cardboard cot which makes it perfect for storage and added benefit for role playing. I can see us adding to our collection as Ami was eyeing up the rest of the set.

The dolls have a hard plastic head, hands and feet with a soft padded bodies like a beanbag. The clothes come off easy which is perfect for little hands. No details have been spared and we impressed with their facial expressions and also their miniature outfits and accessories. The stitching was neat and tidy and fastenings with velcro and great quality. As soon as we got them out they wanted to find out there names which I think creates such a personal touch for the babies. They found the clothes to get back on at first a bit tricky but after a while got used to dressing the babies.

We were also sent the Kid Creations Tinsy Winsy Weeny Tots baby dolls and Out & About accessory set to review too. This set includes a baby in an all-in-one outfit called ‘Jasmine’, a pram, a changing bag, changing mat and fabric nappy. The nappy was the best bit for Ami she was overjoyed to find such a small nappy. The plastic pram has wheels, a handle and you can also detach the wheels and use it as a cot. The pram is well made with a plastic body and a fabric hood with a butterfly pattern. I liked the actions of the folding hood, moving handles and the turning wheels. It’s nice that both pink and blue was incorporated into the packaging and designs. I also caught them putting them in a bigger pushchair as triplets.

The individual babies retail at £7.99 which is perfect price for a present or even a treat. With 15 to collect you will soon be overrun with little babies. The Pram set retails at £14.99 which is great value too. We personally love these babies and with big baby fans we might be a bit biased.

Yvolution Y Glider Refresh Deluxe Scooter review

We were recently sent the Yvolution Y Glider Refresh scooter to review which I can tell you now has caused alot of excitement in our house. My Son Son loves to travel fast he loves his balance bike and therefore has never really got to grips with a scooter. I think because he goes so fast he prefers to just use the bike. SO I thought the Yvolution Y Glider scooter would be perfect for him to learn to use a scooter.

Son Son has always struggled to balance on a scooter so the fact that the scooter had three wheels made it more stable for him to start learning how to use the scooter. The scooter is surprisingly light and to start off with we practiced in the front room. Its only a light scooter so didn't wreck the carpet like other scooters have before. The scooter can be customised as it comes with colourful inserts for the wheels as you can see in the photo below sonny only wanted a purple insert and that was it. You can also change the front of the scooter to red also.

This scooter was perfect for sonny learning as it is has a special steering system where you lean to the side to turn the scooter. Which when you are learning is great as you can get to grips with going in a straight line first. Son Son took a while to learn to steer the scooter he kept on stopping and turning the scooter by picking it up. After a while he learned to turn and was ever so proud of himself.

You can change the steering from loose to firm to go with your childs needs. Sonny is three and it was the perfect size for him. Its also very light so easily carried when he has had enough. After a few tries he was a pro and was going really fast. This scooter is perfect for any child learning to scoot or even pro riders we have loved testing it out.

The Yvolution Y Glider Refresh Scooter is retailing at £39.99 and is an absolute bargain. You can find the scooter at mother care and most toy retailers. . Its light and made to a high quality. Perfect for the Autumn months scooting about.

Brio World School Play Set

We are massive BRIO fans in my house. My eldest son was given a train track when he was just a baby. It was second hand when we got it and it’s still going strong today. The train track is nearly thirty years old and just as good as the day it was made (minus lots of pen marks).

We were asked to review some of the BRIO World range and I just knew it would be something that the kids would enjoy. I hadn't heard of the Brio family range so equally I was just as interested to see what it was all about. I thought Brio was just about trains but it turns out its not and there is a massive range called BRIO world.

We were sent the School play set. I thought beforehand that they may be made out of wood so when I opened the box I was a tad intrigued to see plastic. To be honest I didn't really think of much and didn’t really understand what it was all about. Then I read the instructions and the kids started playing with the toys I knew hang on this is a real game changer for toys.

What you might not see so much from the photos is that all the walls and the flooring can be taken apart and you can build it just how you want. There’s many different opens to how you build your sets. We made a massive school out of the two sets together. Which my Ami loved she loves anything school at the moment. We already had some Brio World sets so we added them all together to make a massive house.

The school set comes with 22 pieces with a mixture of wood and plastic all in bright colours and is actually really easy to slot together. Turns out you didn’t really need the instructions in the end.  The set included two figures too which aided the school game (also didn’t cause too many arguments as the little ones had a figure each to play with. One of the best things about the Brio set is that is doesn’t come with any batteries no annoying sounds and children are encouraged to use their imagination.

All in all Ami and Son Son loved the set and equally I was not disappointed. I can see them having a lot of fun playing over and over again with the village sets.  No play time will be the same as each time will be a new masterpiece.

The BRIO school play set retails at £29.99 and is available from all good toy shops and online shops also. They are recommended for children aged 3 and about. We have loved them defiantly a firm favourite in our house.

My Mermaid Lagoon Review

My children love anything crafty, they love exploring and creating there own little games. I love to watch them recreate little plays and games between them. We were recently sent a toy called My Mermaid Lagoon and I knew it would be a massive hit in our house. My daughter Ami loves anything to do with mermaids and sea so therefore I knew it would be up her street.

My Mermaid Lagoon helps your child to create there very own mermaid world. They can mould, sculpt and play with glittery sand. The set comes with a multiple accessories to make a beautiful under the sea paradise all in its very own bottle.

The play set all come with a Mermaid and her friend ours was named Coral and her friend was a seahorse. There is three sets to choose from which include pearl and her narwhal friend and Marina who's friend is a dolphin.

It was lovely to watch Ami and Son Son both enjoyed playing with the set putting coral to bed and making little moulds out of the shells. What was nice when they finished playing it looked lovely in the bottle and read right away for when they next wanted to play with it.

When I set it up I thought it might be a tad messy when they played but actually it wasn't as bad as I thought and they made minimal mess. Son Son loved to hide all the accessories in the sand and Ami liked to use the fork to find all the hidden treasures. The mermaid can also be removed and placed in her clam for safe keeping. The clam can fit perfectly in your child's pocket so can go anywhere with them.

All in All my little ones loves My Mermaid Lagoon well worth it for a rainy afternoon. My Mermaid Lagoon retails at £16.99 and available in most good toy shops.
