Reasons to be Cheerful - April - part 1

So I write this we are currently serving on team working with youth at an event called Spring harvest. Its alot of fun we are blessed to be part of it, part of peoples lives its great. I love writing about the small things that make us happy, sometimes counting the small things can make you so grateful for the big things, so here is what I am cheerful about this month so far.

1 - We survived my husband being away, 3 kids on my own and two of them under two has been ok. We got in a routine and the house was surprisingly tidy, my husband would have been proud! I actually really enjoyed spending time with the kids but I have missed my husband so so much. I realise how much he does and how grateful I am of what he does!

2- We on Holiday!! hurray even if me and my husband are serving on team we are grateful to be away! the kids having a great time and we can go swimming and make many family memories. We leave on Monday and my husband finally returns good Friday this year is flying by.

3- Having a little bit more sleep!! Little bear some nights has slept for a good 7 hours which has been so lovely. After a few weeks of sleeping for 1-2 hours at night and sleeping worse than when he was born he has started sleeping longer again. My mood has improved alot and I feel kind of normal again!

First Times - Swings

When it comes to your third baby its easy to say that you don't have the same enthusiasm in the firsts as say your first. Sometimes these firsts are missed on camera as you are busy with another child. I myself am a recipient of this there is hardly any photos of my but my two older sister there is tons. So with this I will try my hardest with little bear. I will try to document those firsts, try not forget, try not to let it be the same because he is special. He will never get the time the other two got, he will always be my youngest compared to his older sister who is just 15 months older.

The other day we were at the park which is getting more difficult as Little bear isnt allways pleased about staying in the pushchair, which is fine if Ami is happy doing one thing but wants to play football, play on the skatepark ramps or jump of the equipment (some would think she was 7 not 1!!).So i am constantly chasing her to try and keep her from harm. She spots the swings are free and heads over there both are free and I had nowhere to put Little bear and just plonked him in the swing. It was his first time quick must go and grab phone to take a photo. He loved it was so happy to be in the swing and sitting up. Ami was so chuffed too she really love him doing the things she does. So there we are Little bear has now been on the swings. Next skate ramp (jokes save that fir 6 months).

So here we are Little Bears first time on the swing.

ok he doesnt look happy here bad shot lol

Two under 2 and Pants - 4 months in

As soon as I started to share the news that I was pregnant with my third baby, I constantly got comments such as Oh its going to be hard work. With only 15 months between the youngest 2 most people would comment and sometimes it would really get on my nerves yes another child is hard but how do big families cope, they do and I will too. Most people who commented have not experienced that close age gap and therefore do not know what it is like.

Some days are tough, it can be relentless the amount of nappy changing and feeding I do in a day, or the constant search for a matching pair of socks. Trying to leave the house requires careful planning and as soon as we are about to leave they both need a nappy change. They both cry at the same time often setting each other off and both still need alot of my attention. So yes you may say its hard work but no more than any child.

So with all that comes so so much joy, my heart burst with love for all three of my beautiful children. I love them so so much and wouldn't change a thing. I love the fact that Ami and Little bear will grow up together close in age. They will always have someone to play with. I love that all three of my children laugh at each other find themselves so funny. I love that some days people comment saying you have your hands full but I embrace it, my heart has alot of love, I am growing in patience, learning to share my time wisely, I am learning that sometimes days don't go right and thank god tomorrow is a new day.

So with the bad and good I love my life, I wouldn't change it. I am grateful to have had alot of time off and really enjoy this toddler age. I will be back to work soon and time will go by even quicker. So for now I will enjoy every day. I will look for the little things that make me happy, that little chuckle, that cute toddler chat, the sweet given by my eldest because I love it. I remember that this is just a season and in a few years all forgotten.

Having more children is like a piece of the puzzle you didn't know was missing.

How to Start a blog? Part 1 Reasons to blog

I may not have all the answers to blogging I am still a newbie in a world of many blogs but many people ask me about blogging so I am starting a little series called blogging 101.

How To Start a Blog?

There are many reasons to start a blog, blogs can be about anything from different hairstyles to places visited, each is unique and your very own place in the big pond that is the internet. For me its a place to escape and reflect on my children as they grow out, it challenges me to do more and also being part of a awesome blogging community is a help to continue writing. A blog can be anthing weather you want to just post pictures or even short stories its yours. Its also great to see what other blogs like your own are up to and find people with similar interests across the world.

Reasons to Blog

Interests

Blogging is a great way of getting whats in your head written down for example you may love gardening and every few weeks buying and changing the way it looks. Whatever you are into blogging can offer a place to write and reflect, to plan and create and share them with those that care

Making Community and Finding Friends

As a parent blogger I am often stuck indoors most evening and there is only so much tv one can watch before every night feels the same finding other parents going through the same issues as me has been great. In the year that i have been blogging I have been supported and encouraged by people I haven't met in person, nobody telling me I'm doing wrong all just wanting the best for our children. Finding other blogs in the same niche as your can be inspiring and encouraging.

Branding

As a business it can be tough nowadays as information is everywhere. Business's can show there potential customers the latest products way before they are released and have involvement with there client base.

Generate an income

Many bloggers are successful in creating an income from blogging (I am not I wouldn't know where to start). It takes years or a few lucky few a lot less to become an popular blog, alot of hard work, effort and even patience as you see others doing alot better. Although making money may be great writing about something that is your passion may be more rewarding if you write well and are unique then I am sure you can make money from blogging.

Small Business Sharing

You may have just started out a little hobby or started a new business such as cup cake baking, starting a blog can be a great way of getting new clients and even showing of your best work.

So If you are thinking about starting a blog where can you start? Think about why and what will you gain out of it. It can be highly addictive and incredibly time consuming but worth it looking back. If you enjoyed my first blogging 101 watch out for part 2 coming next week :)

Pants is 7 and a half Already!!

Where has my little boy gone?
7 years in a blink of a eye
it only seems like yesterday you were born and I dressed you,
I struggled to get your arms in your clothes and was overwhelmed by the responsibility of becoming a parent.
I see you now and I have forgotten the baby you, ive forgotten the toddler you its flown by. I see a little video and I am reminded of how funny you were, how you pronounced spaghetti with a b.

Its looking at these photos I can see how much you have grown up,
how much more knowing of the world you are.
How cleaver you are you are, how much you are like me, how many bad habits you have picked up.
Sometimes I see it as a reflection your parents evening could have been mine. It really makes me happy to see you excel at school.

You have two loves in your life at the moment they are football and minecraft.
You love to play at the park every day and then play and watch minecraft videos as much as you can.
It does our head in but you love it.

I forgot how cute you were, you still are but in a 7 year old boy way more handsome now. You just had parents evening and you are doing well in all subjects except writing where it needs more attention. The teacher said if you wrote what you spoke it would be really good, you just need to concentrate and not get distracted. I found it amusing the teacher said you distract her with questions about other things and she ends up going of topic. I thought thats my boy always been a chatterbox. Your teacher was impressed with your maths almost working at level 3 work. Well done Pants.

So in 6 months I will have a 8 year old!!! how scary but I will try and enjoy you as a child. Turn of the tv and see you play. listen to your little role playing voices I love it so much.
I love you being you.
