Exploring new beaches

We have recently moved so naturally we wanted to go and explore our new area. We have a set of stairs that lead down to our now local beach so off we went to explore. It was hard work getting down the stairs they were very steep and after being attacked by flies and other insects we reached the beach (safe to say we wont be using the stairs again). 

So after risking our lives down the stairs we then went down a slippery slope to finally get on to the beach. I was not a fan having grew up just round the corner I have become a bit of a beach snob. Ami enjoyed it and that is what counts. She enjoyed jumping in the water and pushing her pig on the beach. It may take a bit of time for our new beach to grow on me, I blame my parents my dad would scare me around this area saying someone had died in a closed down cafe, safe to say the area creeped me out as a child. Its a beach and I do love the beach.

The kids love it and we all feel so much better.

Walks in the Sun (when it was out)

I love getting out when  it is sunny, I kind of feel cheated if I am stuck indoors. I stand by the window and pine to get outside, but sadly the kids were all ill so when they felt a little better we went for little walks around where we live. We live close to the sea but it was very chilly and the tide was in so we just stuck to the prom. 

 We showed Ami a dandelion and she tried to blow it, but managed to get the dandelion all over her face. Was very funny she didn't mind, it took us ages to get anywhere due to her wanting to touch every one we went past.

We stopped for a little picnic which was lovely Ami didnt wander far so was nice to be chilled out and then enjoy throwing all that was left for the seaguls. Pants then hid in the bushes to jump out on the seaguls, but they outsmarted him and didnt come down. He gave up and walked away and they swooped down on the food.

We finished our little walk by picking some daisys, and playing football (of course). When you have been stuck indoors getting outside is so nice. I loved that it was warm and feeling the sun on my skin. The kids enjoyed them selves beats playing minecraft anyday.

I look forward to lots more adventures although the sad thing we always go to a little cave round here but some people had been there and smashed lots of bottles which meant we couldnt play there. Thinking of making a sign and sticking it up, but that might be a bit sad. One time me and my son went round picking the unsmashed bottles left there and took them to the bottle bank because I was sick of all the glass.

First day of the Holidays

I do love the summer, I love sunshine, spending warm evenings out and just hanging with family and friends! So after a few days at work seeing the sunshine from inside I was glad to be outside with the children. We decided to keep it local so we didnt have to travel to far. A soft play area not far from us has a lovely outside play area that is only £2 to get into so wouldn't be so expensive as we all know holidays and soft play areas mean inflated prices. Pants really wanted to go as they had a zip wire and the hope that some of his friends from school were there, fortunately for him there was!

We had some lunch and pants went of to play with his friends, I tried to keep Ami with me as long as I could as she had no shoes (we still haven't got round to buying her any...) She had enough and broke free wanting to find her big brother! Pants was enjoying the zip wire so had to pull him away to play with Ami for a few mins then he was of again whilst me and Ami played in the sand pit! It was so hot we had to sit in the shade for a little bit but then it was back to playing. We had a lovely day and I even took Pants to the park i used to go to as a child, he was very interested what I played on as a child! We had a lovely first day of the holidays we look forward to many more fun days!

Bank holiday Monday - Mount Ephraim Gardens

The weather forecast was looking good so to make the most of the sunshine myself and a few friends decided to take our families to mount Ephraim gardens, Before going I had said to my husband it better be good as we have to pay to get in. It turned out to be a lovely day they had some lambs and puppies in which Pants loved to stroke and cuddle, also a farmers market an added bonus! It was a hot day and Pants just wanted to jump in the pond he took great delight in collecting bread from people to throw into the pond ( he had about 30 ducks around him at one time always these moments you forget to take a photo). Ami was enjoying just eating and crawling around, Pants then was playing sport with some other children enjoying freedom of being outside! i was enjoying that too also hanging with friends and having a good time!

We then took a walk to find the lambs and puppies! there was three tiny puppies Pants waited very patiently to hold and took much delight when one fell asleep on his lap! we didint get round to do the animal trail Pants was very disappointed so we promised we will go back another time! It was a lovely day looking forward to the next bank holiday weekend!

My week so Far. We love the sunshine!

Sorry have been very quiet as of late my sister borrowed my laptop and couldn't get blogger to work on my phone (what a wally)!  anyway we have had a very good week, not done alot but enjoyed Mr sunshine! 

Monday we saw my sister and her two boys they had been to wrestle mania so was full of stories about wrestling Pants loved to hear! i heard all about the fights then we often had to stop all the boys from acting the moves out on each other! 

Tuesday me and Ami had a picnic before getting Pants then we went to the beach that's at the end of our road! it was Amis first experience of Sand she loved it and was very curious, she liked the texture in her hands! Pants took of to the sea were he attempted to swim in the nice chilly April water but it didn't stop him! he came back soaking but happy! Ami even made it to a paddle it was nice i had briefly forgotten about warmer weather! 

 

Wednesday was more chilled the sun was out briefly me and Ami went for another picnic but the weather turned cloudy so we headed home, i got changed into less summery clothes for the school run didn't want to be cold but then was boiling had to take tights of in school toilets lol! We also saw my mum who has recently  started a new job and said because we hadn't seen us lately shed take us to tesco and Mac Donald's (very random but that is my mum, shes always like it)! Also had our first cafe Church had a guest speaker called Carl Willis he was really good! was really refreshing night!

Thursday (today) we help out at the toddler group held at our church! i sit in the baby area with my good friend Leanne were not much use but i suppose were there! then my husband took me out for lunch we went and sat on a prom were he tested out some kit he had made for his camera! some kind of slide thing to do with getting a steady shot (must listen more) ! Then me Pants and Ami went to the beach! Pants wanted to go crabbing but we didnt find any crabs must be too cold still! Ami was a pain today on the beach she kept on eating the sand and being a pickle about it so put her in the pushchair, she kicked of big time but i remember pants as a baby eating sand then we were up A & E because he was so poorly! Chucked the kids in the bath and of out i was again (two nights in a row) been doing a course about Prophesy at a local church, been interesting! 

So what sounded like a quiet week in my head now looks busy! loving the warmer weather sad its going back to normal tomorrow! we have a spring ball tomorrow at our church very interesting not sure what to expect but it will be good fun i bet!

magic moments

My moment to remember sadly was last year! the build up had been going for years! i used to have a work out dvd and there on it was the bid for the event! the music the sport it made me cry every time i saw it! ok you got me our moment was going to the paralympics last summer! i recently tried to watch the Olympic opening ceremony again but was balling my eyes out! had to turn it off! im not really a sports fan but maybe it was the unity or that it wasn't that far away! i loved last summer (Also Ami was born too).

i was gutted not to get along to any Olympic events but my husband didn't think it would be a good idea being 40 weeks pregnant! i suppose Ami was an Olympic baby born right in the middle! so i thought if i couldn't go along to the Olympics i get along to the paralympics! i wanted Pants to see the Olympic stadium and experience the Olympic park! i was fortunate to get the tickets before the Olympics as suddenly everyone wanted tickets! so the time came Ami was five weeks so we stay at a friends the night before who lives nearer London!

So we get up early ready with everything for the day! fortunately i was breast feeding so Ami was still in that time where she was easily maintained! finally head into the station meeting and actually talking to people on the tube (unheard of in London). There was tons of people and everyone was excited for the event they were going to see! we walk towards the park i was holding back the tears! it was such fun! the weather was sunny i think it was going to be one of the hottest days of the year (wasnt hard during last years year of rain)! we queue up to get in pour all our water and fluid as was only aloud to take 100ml in! then drop the pushchair in the buggy park and make our way up to row 143.

 Finally the event starts its all exciting stuff happening everywhere and it was so much fun! alot of applause and mexcian waves Pants was very excited! we were sitting in the shade so we wernt too hot! although the whole time we were there there was only two athletes from the united kingdom but it was still good! a good memory and will never forget going along! even if it did include a long wait just to go into mcdonnalds!

Tuesday argh so busy busy

So another busy Tuesday  but the best thing today has been the sunshine! i  even went out and then came home to get changed as was overheating! i love in a lovely area so walks along the coast are allways a must! cant wait for summer i love spending all our time at the beach!  i think the weather affects my mood big time so even pants got some sweets today!










Then its school run time! oh dear were running lot (oh dear we've forgot swimming stuff again back we go)! its lovely day so Pants just had to go to the park! but today Ami had her first ever time on the swings and loved it! she also helped Pants at penalty shoot out!
oh crap is that the time and of we head to swimming lessons! which are always fun watch a child who doesnt listen but is totally capable get him changed then home! time to relax...... oh will have to wait for bedtime! if that comes Ami has been teething so hopefully they will pop through and we will have our happy girl back!
