Cantaloop Pregnancy and nursing top Review

When you are pregnant it is great to have a few items of clothes you can keep when the baby is born. If your anything like me it may take months to get back to your pre pregnancy size and be so disappointed when all your old clothes don't fit. I recently got asked to review a Tank top by Cantaloop and I wasn't to sure, I haven't worn many nursing clothes in other pregnancies so was not sure what to expect.

When it came it was in a little tub, which I though would make a lovely baby shower gift. It made it a little special and different. I wore it straight away and got a few weeks wear before Little bear was born. I have work it alot being a lover of tank tops anyway.

I loved that is was loose fitting so didn't cling to my post pregnancy tummy. I often wear it at night as it can be easier to fed little bear through out the night wearing looser clothes. My only issue is that sometimes the little clasp can be difficult to open when you are about to fed your baby but once I worked out how to do so it was fine. It has an integrated bra that provides comfort and extra support whilst breast feeding.

It is a versatile top used as layers in the winter or a lovely top in the summer. You can purchase one here for £28.99. It comes in black or white and its a great addition to your wardrobe.

disclaimer: we were provided this top in order for a review, all opinions are my own.

Magic moments : Uni mum

One of my magic moments, nothing to do with the kids (for once) was starting uni! i was 18 and had no qualifications but was there acting like someone my age! I had qualifications just enough to get me on the course! Anyway after falling pregnant at the young age of 16 and having Pants at 17 i realised i did not want to be another statistic! I even went back to a small waitressing job when Pants was 1 month old! I didnt want to be like every other young parent I wanted my child to feel proud of there mum, and provide for my child! i was a single mum and Pants was only one when i decided to become a nurse! I had always loved hospitals and was a stucker for gory A and E programs so i went for the interview with a bit of knowledge i had read, no real experience and i got a place! Obviously in a shortage of nurses at the time! But i thought yes this is for me! The best thing is you get paid to do the course and tuition fees paid sounded very good to me!

So here I am at uni learning not really living uni life as going home to be mum but was enjoying it,  then i go out to do the actual work and that was the first day I realised crap what have I done! I dont know what i thought nursing was? what did I think nurses did! So funny to look back now I remember the nurse saying to me to wash a patient, I had no experience I was like you actually have to touch the patients? I think I took a huge crash down from student nurse to I am in too deep I want to be a stay at home mum away from this! but I stuck it out, learnt new things, learnt alot of things! But i look back and cringe I see now that I love nursing now although still not a proper qualified nurse but will be in 10 weeks!

So here I am 5 and a half years later, life has changed alot, I Met my amazing Matty, got married, had Ami now having baby number 3! Im about to go on my last ever placement as a Student nurse, my career is about to start, lifes a bit mad but Im so so glad ive stuck it out! all those late nights writing, all the hours worked on placement, all those important times ive missed, its all worthwhile! im at the end of one journey and at the start of a new one! Life is good!

being a mum

Some days i just love being a mum, i love everything about it! School runs also! but other days i could easily hop on a plane go somewhere hot! some days it can be a relief just to go to work! although i haven't been to work for 8months as on maternity leave! am actually looking forward to going back! i was chatting to some mum friends of mine and they were saying that they liked work as they get an hour break and no changing nappies or looking after someone! i thought lucky them i go to work do exactly what i do at home but on a adult scale! the highlights of being a nurse!

Anyway I do love my children very much they cause me much delight! they are both so different and funny! Pants is very outgoing, very noisy, cheeky but defiantly not boring! very clever not sure where he got that from! its sad when a 6 year old has to show you how to do things on a ipod! and Ami just as sweet shes just starting to develop a personality she already seems very chilled out very much like her dad!

my day goes like this wake up to either husbands alarm/ Ami crying/ pants shoving ipod in my face asking me to download him a game! i then get Ami feed her whilst trying to get my husband to wake up so i don't have to quickly make the packed lunches  or the forcing pants to get dressed bribeing him with nuttella on toast as a reward for getting dressed! by this time Ami is bored of staying in bed! wants to explore elsewhere so of we go into our lounge! i then pick up the carnage from pants! and my husband takes pants to school! most days something is forgotten book bag/lunch box/ scooter!
this is all before 9am

what joy but then i wouldnt change it! ive been a mum since i was a teenager its all ive known i never had those care free years of being an adult, spending all day in bed! not having to sort childcare out if i want to do anything on my own!  that's the dream! one day when the kids are adults i shall have my time then! i plan to do alot of missionary work maybe we will take the kids with us! i dont know what the future holds but i do know god has some awesome plans for us! so if were still blogging i hope you enjoy the ride!
