Peppa Pig Pick up and Play Set Review

My children at 4 and 5 still love Peppa Pig. We have been watching Peppa Pig for a number of years and it still doesn't get old. Recently we were sent the new Peppa Pig Pick up and Playsets, a toy perfect for long journeys in the car or keeping everything together in one set so it doesn't get lost. The set comes in the shape of Peppas face. We were sent the seaside set to try but also available in the playground set too.

The Peppa pick up and play set is the perfect toy for small children. It doesn't come with small parts so there's no fear they will put the toys in their mouth. The toy can help bring imagination to life and it also comes with a sound box that can be removed. My daughter liked to use the sound box as a phone. The sound box has different pictures on that plays a sound relating to the beach theme.

The Set comes with A Peppa pig figure that has a base on her feet making it easier for her to stand. Printed on the back is lots of characters from Peppa big and the beach and sea. Included in the set is a sun lounger and a sandcastle to aid play. The set is also big enough to store other characters you may have.

We liked how practical the set was and the fact that everything can be stored in one place. I have left mine in the car as the kids always get bored when we have to go on a longer journey.

Peppa's Interactive Playmat Review

Peppa Pig has been a big name in our house over the last ten years and all three of my children have loved that cheeky pig. So i knew they would love our latest review of the Peppa Pig Interactive Playmat. I knew Son Son would love it as he loves Peppa and recently has loved recently telling me every number that he sees.

The one thing I love about the mat is that you have to be active to use it. My son Son is like a duracell bunny he just keeps on going so something that can keep him engaged and burn some of the endless energy is something we approve of. The Mat has Peppa and all her family on friends so there and they really haven't missed any of Peppas little friends. The mat has four different modes that you can play.

The modes include a sing along mode with 5 popular songs from the TV show. Son Son loved this mode and enjoyed singing along with his favourite songs. The mat has some of everyone favourite songs including the Bing Bong song that we all know and love. The instructions are very clear and its very east to set up. The voices also sound very life like. The mat encourages developmental learning as it can help children to learn numbers and colours.

Technology is such a big part of children's life now so something like this mat can help get children used to technology though to be honest I already think my children are more clued up than me on somethings. The mat retails at £19.99 and is a must for any Peppa fan. It is sutible for ages 3 plus but I think younger children could benefit also from the mat.

Princess Peppa's Carriage Review

We recently received the Princess Peppa Carriage for my little ones to review they are massive Peppa Pig fans, come on lets face it who isn't even I have been known to laugh at one of Daddy pigs escapades. I just knew my princess loving Ami would be over the moon with it. 

The set comes with a moveable Peppa and George the carriage and three detachable horses. The little George has lots of places he can sit and Peppa can sit in the carriage like a princess. Thankfully the toy came ready assembled so once I got it out of the box it was ready to go. Another bonus is that it doesnt involve batteries meaning that children have to use there imagination to play along with it.

 I added some extra figures too as all the Peppa figures work in all the play sets. Ami had a lot of fun putting Sir George and Princess Peppa in there rightful places. Son Son also loved it although he kept on saying the George was Peppa because he was in the red outfit. Its very cute and every Peppa fans dream to play with.  The new Peppa pig range is something well worth investing in. Its great for the children to learn through play and be creative with there stories. Its a toy that isn't too noisy and won't go off in the middle of the night too.

The set retails at £29.99 and is available at Smyths toy shop. My two little ones have loved it and had been a great asset to our growing Peppa Pig collection.

GiftAlien gift box - Peppa Pig Movie night in Review

My children are massive Peppa pig fans its something that is on in our house a lot. We were recently approached to try out a box for children to have a movie night in. The lovely people at GiftAlien sent my little Peppa pig a little box full of all the goodies for a No adults allowed Peppa Pig Movie Night. The box has been on the table for a while and has sparked some interest, Ive found Ami under the table trying to prise the box open before now. Thankfully for them the time came to see what was in the green box.

Little shouts of joy came out as two little people saw that the box contained lots of Peppa Pig Goodies. The box contained enough for two children the list contained:

Peppa Pig DVD, with 10 short stories (lasting over 50 minutes)

I brought the outside picnic bench and placed it in front of the TV so they could sit and watch Peppa. I also gave them there tickets and made them queue up as if they were at the cinema, although Ami actually thought she was going to the cinema. They were most excited about the painting and the balloons. They sat for a good 30 mins whilst I put Peppa on in the background and happily painted. I was actually rather impressed with the results. When they finished they moved onto the snacks and drinks, which all contained healthy snacks unlike when we go to the cinema and its all popcorn and chocolate.

Ami said "This is the best time ever" I think mainly because they are not allowed to paint in the front room and it made it that little bit extra special that they did. Personally I thought the idea was really cute and enjoyed seeing them so excited about what was in the box. Was defiantly a win with these two at ages 2 and 3. Obviously we didn't do the painting at night time and I didn't leave them on there own as they are only young (and the fact that they destroyed the carpet with there paint before now hence the paint in the kitchen only rule was evoked).

We loved this GiftAlien Box perfect for friend coming over, siblings to enjoy or even a special date with your child. It brings something a bit different and fun and would make a special birthday present for a child. Peppa Pig Construction Review - Grandpa Pig

My children love building blocks, any time will do they all enjoy being creative and making something out of nothing. Even Son Son who loves to build towers and knock them down. We recently got asked if we would like to review the construction  Peppa Pig Grandpa pig boat and I knew it would be right up the two toddlers street.

Inside the box contained many blocks and pieces to make Grandpas boat including grandpa pig himself. It also had the instructions on how to make it too which were easy enough for little children to follow.

There is also a set of wheels built into the larger boat pieces meaning it can be moved along the floor easily. They had to learn how to put the bricks on the boat whilst holding it still as sometimes it would dip or move, which is rather funny to watch but Son Son didn't agree.

Once built the set came with some stickers for some of the boat which they enjoyed placing on some of the bricks and themselves. It took a good twenty minutes to make with them (that did include making it a few times after them pulling it apart in between).

My Little ones have loved the boat and have also used other similar lego Duplo that fits on the boat to make a larger boat/ home/ boat dock for Grandpa pig. A great idea to encourage your children to be more creative and learn through play. Any Peppa Pig fan will love the construction set. I know my children are itching for more especially a Peppa pig who can go on the boat.

Once upon a Time Peppa Pig Range Toy Review

I would be lying if I said the kids didn't love Peppa Pig. That little pig has got me through some miserable mornings, especially when I had a newborn baby and a toddler. They days then were very long and a bit of peace to feed a baby for ten minutes was well deserved. We have liked Peppa in this household for nine years although my eldest now says he just pretended he too loved Peppa. I have seen many episodes and secretly love a bit of Peppa Myself. 

We recently got sent some of the new Peppa Pig Once upon a time toy range to try out. Thankfully this came on my eldest sons birthday so the little two felt like they got something too. We were sent four different sets to try, the Pumpkin Carriage that comes with a little George figure (my two refused to accept it was geroge as he was in Peppa's colours), The Storytime Tea party play set this come with a Peppa, Pedro and Susie figure along with a table and chairs for them to sit at, Story Time Pack always helpful to have a few extra figures and finally the Storytime Castle Playset that came with a little George figure.

When I opened the sets the kids got stuck in straight away. I loved seeing all the little characters dressed up in little fairy tale outfits. Ami loved the bo peep Peppa and Son Son a little bean stalk George figure. It took me back to my childhood and the stories that my mum would read me and before I knew it we were deep in play.  Ami liked to make little stories up where the they all went for dinner and the castle was there home. Son Son liked to push the pumpkin carriage and loved it because all the characters would spin round. 

All of the characters have moveable parts like all the other range of Peppa pig toys which some are a little small for younger toddlers (Son Son managed fine I did have to watch closely as one did go missing in his mouth). The chairs for the tea party and pumpkin carriage are moulded to fit the little figures even the little Georges fit nicely.  The Pumpkin Carrige is the one they had most problems with as it would often the lid would come of and some of the characters would not fit in the carriage. As the carriage spins round when pushed it often would get stuck, which for a fussy threenager that is a big deal. The children loved the castle the most they loved that you could pull the draw bridge up. I thought the castle was a bit bare but that always helps to encourage imagination. 

Such a fun idea for children and a way of expanding there learning through play. My children did adore the sets which retail at the following prices:  Tea Party Playset (£14.99), the Pumpkin Carriage (£14.99), the Castle Playset (£19.99), and the Story Time Figure Pack (£9.99). They are the perfect toy for any Peppa Pig fan.

A great idea for a present for any Peppa fan or basically anyone under five.

Once upon a time Princess Rose Peppa Review

My toddlers adore Peppa Pig, they would sit and watch it all day if allowed so when we were offered some Peppa Pig toys I knew they would be over the moon.  Ami loves Peppa and Son Son loves George. So I knew when this Princess Peppa Ami would love it straight away. 

Once upon a princess is the perfect size for your toddler to carry round and play with friends. It also has the benefit of being a bit different because when you hold her hands she sings ring a roses. Which the toddlers loved and would spin around with her laughing.

She only sings when you hold both hands meaning there isn't a chance of it going of whilst in bed. It took Son Son a while to grasp the idea of holding her hands but when he did, its all we heard for about three days.

The only thing that was maybe a tad annoying is that as soon as you let go she stops singing, then when you touch again she starts singing again. Which at 6am in the morning on repeat is a tad annoying. Thankfully its not too loud but a tad shrill when you have heard the same song about 10 times in a row.

Its a great idea for a soft toy and really got my children up and wanting to play ring a roses together. Son Son even got Asti to play with him, which as you can see from the photo above he loved it.

The princess Peppa retails £19.99 which for the size and fun is a reasonable price. A good present to give as a gift.

Peppa Pig Weebles Pull along Wobbily Train Review

We recently got sent the Peppa Pig Weebles Pull along train to review, which the kids have loved. The train comes with a weeble Peppa pig along with a train with space for two more weebles in the little carriages. We had a Zoe Zebra that we found in a toy sale which fitted into the train just fine. Son Son loves trains almost as much as he loves Peppa pig so I knew he would just love it.

They had great joy in putting the figures in the train and watch them wobble around when they pulled the train along. The great thing is they never fall down, well I say great unless your a toddler who is trying to get peppa pig to have a sleep and she keeps on popping up.

Perfect for children over 18 months to help develop some of these fine motor skills. Son Son loved to take them in and out of the train, he also loved to push the train super fast so they fell out. Ami also loved to play with the set too. You can play with Peppa on her own too, we have a different weeble set with a slide which they enjoyed dropping Peppa of in the train to play with.

The weebles Peppa pig toys are interchangeable with all other sets too, meaning you can grow your collecting in no time. The weebles are quite heavy so I did have to supervise Son Son as he likes to throw anything that looks like a ball, and he has the best aim so he would cause some damage.

This is the perfect toy for any Peppa pig fan, plenty of room for imagination and role play.  My children have loved playing with it and its a firm favourite with any child who comes round to play.  This set retails at £17.99 which is a great price for the amount they have played with it.

Peppa Pig Grandpa Pigs Holiday Boat Review

My children have all been a fan of Peppa Pig, even my 8 year old loved Peppa Pig once and some toys from when he was a toddler have lasted and still get played with today. We have recently been reviewing Grandpa Pigs Holiday Boat in which was a major storm. There has been plenty of fights over who has Peppa or George but I am not complaining they have been enjoying playing with toys and sometimes not stopped for ages.

The figures include Peppa Pig, George and Grandpa but has led to lots of questions like where is Grandma Pig from Ami. They have a little Stand on the bottom which helps them fit in the boat and stay fixed in the boat when in the water. We learned this when Grandpa pig kept on falling in the water and with a little bit more pressure fits in well. The figures are wearing all their swimwear making them easily found in the bath/ toy box.

I love that the the boat it on its own, no little parts that only end up lost. Its a simple toy to spark a toddlers imagination. Grandpa Pig has made it to nursery and to school most bath times sadly we she never adds anywhere else in the bath time adventures. The boat floats really well and I was surprised that it did. She has loved playing with the boat and getting to play with Peppa Pig in the bath and Little Bear also has had a little look in too. I love a toy that is versatile and can help encourage imaginative play.

This Boat retails at £19.99 which I think is reasonable and most Peppa Pig toys are around that price. I am looking forward to adding to the new Holiday collection and have had my eye on a few of the other Peppa Pig toys (yes maybe 8 years of Peppa I still love it).

Penwizard Personalised Peppa Pig book Review

My little girl absolutely adores Peppa pig, ok she may just like the music but as soon as she see's the television she starts shouting Peppy Peppy. So when I got asked to review a personalised Peppa Pig book from Penwizard I jumped at the chance. Its true I secretly love Peppa too even my son likes Peppa pig he wont admit it now because he is a cool 7 year old but he is glued to the tv watching this little pink pig. I loved the idea of personlised book and was so impressed when this came.

The website was easy to use and you get to add your child's full name, skin colour, hair style  and even add a personal message. It took no time at all and we only waited a few days and it came in the post. Ami was over the moon especially when we told her it was her. She wouldn't let anybody hold it and carried it round all day. She kept on pointing saying Peppy and Ami, my son when he saw it was so impressed (I could see he wanted one too). We were so impressed with the quality and the fact that Ami's name was throughout the book.

There are many books to choose from including many other characters and other stories including football which I am going to get for Pants. It would make a lovely gift for a birthday, I think it makes it so special for your child to see themselves in the book. Also that they are in character form so will last for years as sometimes photos can look outdated so quickly.
