Gel-a-Peel Slime Jar Decorating - Easy Slime Recipe

I don't know if your kids are obsessed with Slime but mine are at the moment. One thing we have never done is try to make it I for one thought it was maybe a little bit too hard for me. We were sent a kit from Gel a Peel to make some slime jars. So with that, I googled easy slime recipe and found one that actually worked using only two ingredients so read on to find out how we have done it.

If you are a regular reader of our blog you will have seen us try out the Gel a Peel products a few times for different projects.  One thing Gel a Peel is good to create a different texture and gives a good effect and finish.

We tried a new Gold pack which I can tell you there was a few fights about who got to use the gold pen. If you have not heard of Gel a Peel its a lot of fun. It comes in different coloured tubes and you can use it to make jewellery or as we done slime Jars. The wonderful thing is when it dries it becomes like a rubbery texture. Each set comes with different shaped nozzles that attach on the Gel a Peel tubes to create different shales and textures. The set comes with moulds that you can use to stick on your designs or make into creations themselves.

The Sets that we were using comes with 16 different templates which can be moulded into different shapes. It's very easy to use and my children love using the mould. It's very easy to use and comes with a squeegee to scrape away excess gel. It's best to do the moulds the day before as they take some time to dry.

Easy two ingredient Slime Recipe

The great thing about this slime recipe is that all the stuff is available in your home.
All you will need for this recipe is -

- PVA Glue - 2 Tablespoons

- Washing Detergent  - 2 Table Spoons

- Food colouring or glitter for decoration (optional)

This is it believe it or not. It was super easy to make actually I was surprised especially as I had heard horror stories from other people. All you do is mix both together until it creates a gooey consistency. We added glitter and colouring too to make it more exciting. It worked well as slime and ticked the boxes in the right places for them.

They then filled the jars they made and won't let us throw them away.

Check out Gel a Peel Available in most Toy retailers. The set we use retails at around £19.99

We love a craft project in our house and we are forever looking for new ideas for things to do. We were sent some of the new kits from Gel-A-Peel. If you are a regular reader you will see we have worked with Gel-A-Peel before and quite frankly we love it.

With it being the month of love the kids were asked to make some Valentine's cards for friends and lovers. The gel sets into a hard texture with creates a 3D effect to a card. We were using some new sets that we haven't used before. We were using the fuzzy kit which comes with a pot of fuzz that you add to the Gel to give a different effect when dried. The other set

Craft with Gel-A-Peel - Design a Diary

When it comes to the new year it's almost refreshing to start thinking and dreaming of the year ahead. A whole 365 of brand new starts and new beginnings. With this, we were sent a Diary to design with our much loved Gel-A-Peel. We have used Gel-A-Peel for multiple craft projects and there is nothing my children love more than decorating things.

Gel-A-Peel is perfect for using for designing things as it comes with lots of different options. You can go wild and go free hand. You do need a steady hand though but perfect if you love creating little pretty things. The pack comes with 5 different Gel tips that can be used to create different effects from solid lines to star. The tips can be changed to different colours to create a blend effect colour.

Ami had great fun designing a Diary. She mainly went freehand and drew lots of flowers on the diary whilst Son Son used to moulds as he wanted to make a bracelet. All in all, we love using Gel-A-Peel it creates a wonderful texture to craft projects. Although don't get it on the table you will be cleaning for weeks.

The Gel-A-Peel sets retail from £19.99 and now come in different colours and even glow in the dark which we are yet to try out.

Gel-A-Peel Jewellery Box making

If you had seen some of our previous posts you would know we are quite the fans of Gel-A-Peel. If you have not heard of it before then its well worth looking into especially if you have a child who is particularly crafty. The Set we were sent came with three different colours and a verity of different nozzles also mould to create different shapes.

You may be wondering what Gel-A-Peel is? Its different couloured gels that can be manipulated into shapes via the use of moulds or even going freehand with a design. It then dries into a rubber texture. The Gel sets come in a verity of colours and sets which include glitter and neon colours.

There is so much you can do with Gel-A-Peel from creating jewellery itself to designing embellishments for little boxes. For Ami she loved using the Gel to create different designs. I like the way it adds a 3D texture to the finished product. We also used the left over Gel to stick on the dried gel pieces to the box too. The set comes with a range of templates where you can creat some bracelets too.

The Gel takes a few hours to fully dry so we found it was best making the moulds the night before and sticking on the next day. Although Ami is nearly 5 she can be inpatient at times. Asti also got involved and had quite a bit of fun making a little box. He mainly liked trying the different nozzles like he was decorating a cup cake. For us I found creating a design on something like a box the best thing we have done with the sets. The finished product is different to a normal painted box and adds a different touch.

This set retails at £19.99 and is perfect for crafting onto cards. I say the results came out much better than I originally thought. Why mot get  Gel-A-Peel set and have a go yourself.
