Reasons to be cheerful week 33

Im generally a happy person (although I am sure my husband would disagree in at the moment). I tend to look to the positives and make a note of all the blessings in my life, hence why I like this linky, It helps me to look back on what I thought was a rather mundane week and see all the things I am thankful for and that have make me happy, so if you have not taken part have a go, you will be surprised on how much joy is in your life!

1) Had a growth scan after measuring small when I was last seeing the midwife. I had my scan which was lovely to see but to be honest I didn't see much, some ribs and a spine where the only things I could see! There wasn't much explanation from the lady doing the scan, It was lunchtime and I had been fitted in she obviously wanted some lunch or a break. The main thing is the baby is growing fine, he is estimated 6lb at the moment! Scary only 4 weeks to go till my due date!!

2) Ami has said a few new words, bear being her favorite! She also says door and bye her talking has come alot recently its very cute. She also has new dance moves which I call happy feet as she goes all crazy like the floor is cold! She is destined to be a dancer!

3) Were of to Denmark during half term, I shall be 38 weeks pregnant and travelling 16 hours with a 1 year old! should be fun and an adventure! We as a family love adventure! we off to help in a school in a week they call Jesus week! Its a little exciting as there could be the risk that the baby is born abroad!! I havent told my mum yet she will tell me off (even though Im grown up and married with children)

4) Been turning TV of and letting Pants just play, I love to hear all the little voices he uses and what he talks about. He has also tried to get Ami to play with him, he can be so sweet sometime! They can play so nicely together even with 6 years apart Pants really loves having a little sister!

5) My husbands short film premiered the other day, was great to see his passions and dreams lived out. Also I saw the process from writing to making to it being finished! Its all about Hope and really well made take a look if you want just here. I'm biased i am sure but I think its great hes very talented!

PLYT Maths Board Game Review

We recently got the chance to review PLYT board game. We as a family love board games nothing better than spending some quality time together (me getting to competitive) and having a good time. PLYT is a game that has been made by a couple called Ian and Lisa who created the game as they found others to be a bit boring and not very good for children of different ages. 

So out of that PLYT was born, a game not only fair on every player but can help to improve maths skills. My son loves maths so when I mentioned it was about numbers he couldn't wait to play the game. My husband sat and read the instructions as I was a little unsure on what and how we play the game. 

After my husband explained it, it actually wasn't as daunting as I thought. It was actually easy enough to play and my son who is 7 was soon explaining how to play the game. After a couple of rounds and the excitement of using the timer soon all our competitive attitudes came out. My husband was doing the maths and my son would desperately wait for the timer to finish so he wouldn't win. 

The great thing about the game is that it includes everyone, you can choose to help with the chance cards or even choose to put people in front behind!  We started by giving Pants some easy numbers to multiply and we also made him add the numbers together. He enjoyed getting it right and it was lovely to see how much his maths skills are improving at school.

As we were playing we all got quicker and both me and my husband dusted of our maths skills to try and win. We has such a good time plating my husband being his usual cheeky self and trying to trick us into thinking he was ahead. It was a lot of fun! 

Even Ami wanted to join in our game, she was happy to sit on Daddy's lap and try and get hold of the Dice. It was much more fun than sitting in front of the TV like most evenings end up. We would definitely recommend this game it was such fun. Now days when buying games its often easy to look for a game that looks good, but this game as simple as it is, was far more of a interesting game than others we have. 

If my son is learning and having fun its a bonus, you can buy this game from PLYT website. It retails at £19.99 but is definitely worth it. We are sending this game back but my son has said he wants it on his Christmas list. Was lovely to see him choose a board game over the DS or Play station and it was lovely to have some time playing and learning together.

Our Wedding Day

Welcome to an insight to our wedding day We had met the previous year doing a community Event Lark in the Park in Ramsgate Our eyes met over putting Marquees down and I thought how handsome is that man he must surely be married with his dark features and silver hair. But he wasn't we took details and he didnt hesitate to get in touch

He was (and still is) such a lovely person I used to think it was a joke some day someone is going to say you've been fooled, I was a single mum and couldn't believe that someone like Matt would be interested in me! After 5 months of dating he asked me to marry him read more about it here We planned to get married 7 months later

Both of us are not very organised so a few of my friends created a team to help us plan our day we didnt have alot of money so It was great to get help from communities around us. People were so generous to help in what way they could it was such a blessing People cooked, took photos, lent us vehicles, did decorations, flower arranged, baked cup cakes, preformed in a live band and much more we were so so blessed! 

Matt had said the wrong words, Will you take Sara to be your wife and he said Yes lol

The day arrived and I was so excited, I was not crying like I thought I might (as I cry alot) Had a lovely morning with Pants and two of my bridesmaids where we started to get ready, We had had some dodgy spray-tans done so was trying to get rid of some of the tan lines lol Then my mum and dad arrived and it was time to leave! It had started to rain but I didnt care I was marrying the man of my dreams!

I heard the music I was walking down the isle too, Brooke Fraiser: Love is Waiting My heart was pounding Hundreds of people were sitting in the church where we got married  Matt was from Sidcup me from Thanet two churches joined together to celebrate with us  was a little overwhelming but exciting at the same time

I walked down towards my husband to be and his face was a picture he had tears streaming and such love in his eyes I stood next to him looking so handsome I was so happy Kids where running around everywhere including Pants who was covered in chocolate but I didnt notice I was marrying my Matty. 

We had about 380 people at our wedding some invited some not, we tried to invite everyone as didnt want people to feel left out! Someone said that they kept on going into the kitchen to find more and more food appearing everyone was feed and watered. Then the speeches were lovely my husband wrote some lovely words and the best men were incredibly funny.  

It was crazy I think I spent the time talking to people as there was so many everyone wanted to say congratulations the day sped by. Our first dance was to Elbow and Beautiful Day. Then we had a live band followed by disco, which was good fun! 

Soon it was time to leave and start our life together

we were so blessed that day

Im still blessed to have met such an awesome man

Our Centre Parcs Entry - Time together at the beach

This is our entry to become a centre parcs ambassador

We absolutely love centre parcs as a family, we love swimming, riding round on bikes and generally being together. So when we saw that we could have a chance at being centre parcs ambassadors we jumped at the chance. We love to be by the seaside and the kids just love playing in the sand and making little adventures. So me being an ammeter video producer (well the wife of a video producer)  I got on the editing software and had a go at making a little video.

you are growing up to fast

you are full of joy

you also now say peppa, nana (which is ever fruit) bye bye and so much more

you love to bundle with your big brother 

you take delight in copying everything he does

he loves that but apart from when he is trying to do something and you get involved

doesnt always go down well

you love to explore and to run

you have even got a little better at staying by mummy and daddy

yet the adventures call and your off climbing and runnung 

you love to dance and jump and spin

we love it so so much it is so cute

your favorite song is Dance by Tim Hughes in which you sing some of the bits too

you love to eat there is nothing you dont like

you get very cross if someone is eating and they dont share

you can use a fork and like to sit like a big girl

except when you climb out of the high chair sometimes

Reasons to be Cheerful week 32

I feel very happy this week, not sure why maybe its being on maternity leave and not having to think about work has taken a burden of that I didn't know I was carrying. My reasons to be cheerful as as follows...

1) It was our wedding anniversary yesterday so had the pleasure of hanging out with my husband for some of the day. We went to the Toby Carvery for lunch as I was persuaded to go to cinema with him in the evening (which was good because we saw a lovely film called about time, I really recommend it!) But our lunch was taken over by a tired toddler and she was being very noisy (and cute). It was nice all the same, my hints of surprises went unnoticed and the comment that stuff only happens in films came out a few times! He does make me laugh so he gets away with it!

2) Ami has learnt some new dance moves and now sings along to some song, Tia Cruiz Dynamite is no longer her favourtie and Dance by Tim Hughes is! Its very funny she just loves to dance (like her dad). first thing in the morning she points to the phone and says Dance Dance and we play her the song and she dances! Very cute!

3) Have yet another midwife three this pregnancy which has been a little annoying, as she tells me I need vitamin D and a whooping cough vaccine something I was not told by previous midwives. Also I'm measuring small as I have done with other pregnancies so means I get to go for a scan in the next week! Which is good we get to see the baby again. Crazy though it doesn't feel like I'm about to have a baby bearing in mind I'm due next month!

4) Pants has been really helpful at home unheard of, asked to dry up and do some tidying away. Even the other day during dinner he got some fruit juice and some yogurts for all the family. It was very sweet and caring he can be such a lovely boy. He has also started a new football club where they said they think he is good enough to join the year 2 football team! how exciting for him he does love football!
